Egyptians are known for their great sense of humor. The number of people in Tahrir square has been estimated to exceed 5 million. So they are entertaining themselves by chanting: الشعب يريد توسيع الميدان [ash.sha’b yuriid tawsii’ il midaan] people need expansion of the square (Tahrir)
Egyptians took to the streets. Streets are filled with people until Tahrir Square.
The sofa party thanks you (Morsi) for getting me to come to here
The sofa party is sometimes called the silent majority. They those who did not participate in Jan 25 demonstrations and onward. They are the posh or elite section of the society. Today mothers and grandmothers of 75 years old were in Tahrir. All had one spirit and one demand, to cancel the constitutional declaration. And if their demand is not met, the ceiling of the demands will rise and they may ask for the topple of the administration.
